A Visit to Jeff Brown

We were fortunate enough to be able to spend another day in Chicago! On Saturday Aunt Cara had to work at an event in Wicker Park, so we tagged along and spent some time walking along Milwaukee Ave, which had some very cool, artsy, vintage shops.

In the evening we went to out for a drink and some delicious food at a place in town called Reggies. It is connected to a record shop and even the menus made out of old records!

We had a great time in Chicago and are very thankful for the hospitality from Cara, Jeri and Sam!

Sunday morning we left early from Chicago and began the long drive to Minneapolis, Minnesota. The drive was actually a lot shorter then we expected. Surprisingly, Wisconsin was beautiful. It was so diverse starting out with cornfields, turning into to great rolling hills, with beautiful trees, and widespread ranches.

Tonight we arrived in Minnesota to spend the night with Jeff Brown! A great visit with him, Haley and the rest of his roommates. Had a nice dinner in Uptown Minneapolis and went out to a local peanut bar to grab a drink and play darts.

Tomorrow we head out to the Badlands! A much desired destination. Instead of camping and freezing our little tushies off in the rain we decided to spend a couple nights in local hotels. The first one is a stones throw from the Badlands and looks like a cute hometown ranch type place. On Tuesday we will be bunking up in Rapid City. Pics from the Badlands hikes will come when they happen. Until then ta ta for now...
