After our visit with Marianne, we made our way down to Cranfills Gap for an extended stay with Tyler's good family friend Jan and her husband Joe. For five nights we stayed on their 300 acre ranch. We had a great relaxing visit, which is something that we greatly needed after 46 days in the car. With the town population at 358 people, we were able to rest and enjoy the company. Jan and Joe treated us like a King and Queen and gave us a spacious bed and bathroom, we can't thank them enough for their hospitality! We got to ride around the ranch in the golf cart that Jan takes around and we also got to take the 4 - wheeler out for a spin. We got some local flavor by attending the Fire House dinner, and getting a few drinks and dinner at the local bar, the Horny Toad.

Hi Ty & Rachel, thank you sooooo much for my B-day gift. I love it. How unusual! I am going to go on their web-site to see what they have. I will treasure it always..
ReplyDeleteLooks like you enjoyed Texas! Marianne loved having you there and the ranch looks so relaxing! You needed that.
HAPPY TRAILS! LY both, Gram
Hi Guys,
ReplyDeleteWhat nice pictures. Talked to Marianne and Jan tonight. They were thrilled that you were able to stay with them. You looked great on the 4-wheeler. I got to ride one this year too! Enjoy Austin. One more week until Turkey Day!
Love, Dad
