One week to go!

Hi everyone!

We are gearing up and counting down the days. Currently we are at 7 days and 10 hours til departure (those of you at NBCS have also been updated on this hourly countdown). Have we packed yet? Of course not! But we are very confident that we will be ready to go by Monday, the morning of September 28th. We've got our supplies, goods, and doodads, now all we need to do is put them in a bag, pack up the car, get in and go. Sound easy right? We'll see...

As most of you know, we have decided to take a trip of a life time. You only live once, right? We are about to embark on a 6 week, maybe longer, road trip in Tyler's 95 Camry...pray for us. Here is our tentative plan (including, but not limited to):

New Fairfield, CT
Port Jervis, NY
Cuyahoga Valley, OH (National Park)
Chicago, IL
Minneapolis, MN
Badlands, SD (National Park)
Billings & Bozeman, MT
Yellowstone National Park, WY
Seattle, WA
Olympic National Park, WA
Portland, OR
Arcata, CA
San Francisco, CA
Los Angelos, CA
Flagstaff, AZ
Grand Canyon, AZ
Bryce Canyon, UT
Zion Nation Park, UT
Arches National Park, UT
Albuquerque, NM
Dallas TX,
Cranfills Gap, TX (Auntie Jan's Ranch)
New Orleans, LA
Atlanta, GA
Charleston, SC
Washington, DC
Pipersville, PA
NYC
...and back to New England

Oh my lanta! Now that is a long list...

We'll be updating this as much as we can (or if we have a good story to tell).

Thanks to all of our friends and family that have offered us a place to crash for a night. We'll see some of you on the road, and for those of you at home, we hope your Autumn is as good as ours!

With love,
Tyler and Rachel

  22. Great blog so far. It's deja vu for me. We have some of the same exact pictures, like the beware bison sign, we did that Badlands trail with the rope ladder, etc. Deadwood was pretty cool too, hope you saw the street reenactment also. Well hope you guys are getting along and enjoying the sights. I'm jealous and would love to be doing it again. Don't worry Ty the Mets didn't make the playoffs, sorry.
